About Us

Fresh as a daisy

Deborah was born in Chatham and has spent most of her life within The Medway Towns.

She was educated at Fort Pitt Grammar School in Chatham. After taking her ‘O’ Levels (as they were historically called!), she left school and joined Kent County Constabulary as a Police Cadet.  She joined the regular Police Force when she was 18 and served for 4 years.

Marriage and motherhood kept her busy for the next decade.

She served in the Woman's Royal Naval Reserve at HMS Wildfire in Chatham for 7 years and was amongst the first contingent of Wrens to go to sea alongside her male counterparts.

After her third son started school, she began her nurse training at Canterbury Christ Church University  where she gained her Dip(HE) in Nursing Studies. After qualification she worked at Medway Maritime Hospital as a staff nurse within the surgical directorate.

She has recently gained her BSc (Hons) in Professional Practice.

It was her interest in how the condition of the bowel can have such a profound effect on the rest of the body that she began her training to qualify as a Registered Colon Hydrotherapist.

As a mother to three wonderful sons, she is kept busy for much of the time and the opening of the new clinic at Fort Horsted has brought a sense of achievement and the knowledge that the people of Medway and surrounding areas can enjoy such a wonderful sense of wellbeing and improved health with the help and understanding of a fully qualified and empathic therapist.

Lisa was also born in Chatham and became a member of the Women's Royal Naval Reserve at HMS Wildfire before joining the Women's Royal Naval Service.  During the 8 years she served in the Wrens, Lisa was based around the UK and also Gibraltar for a year.

After leaving the Wrens, Lisa joined the Police and for the next 14 years, worked for Hampshire Constabulary, the City of London Police and the British Transport Police, reaching the rank of Sergeant.

Lisa and Deborah are Niece and Aunt.  Having unintentionally mirrored each others careers, it was a natural progression to enter business together; their passions being so similar.  With no nursing experience, Lisa completed the necessary courses to qualify her to practice as a colon hydrotherapist.

Lisa has an ITEC diploma in Anatomy and Physiology and is a fully qualified Colon Hydrotherapist.   Lisa is currently completing her ITEC in a variety of Massage techniques.  This service will be on offer to fresh as a daisy clients shortly.

Deborah and Lisa are fresh as a daisy!

The Colon Hydrotherapist

You may visit a Registered Colon Hydrotherapist with confidence. To be on the Register a therapist must either have trained in orthodox medicine (e.g. doctor or nurse), or have satisfactory training in anatomy and physiology. They will have been trained at one of the approved (and inspected) Colon Hydrotherapy colleges. The premises of therapists are inspected prior to their admission to the Register and these are periodically inspected.

Aesthetic Procedures

Deborah was trained in Harley Street, London in the art of facial rejuvination.

She understands that the aging process can have adverse effects on the way we feel about ourselves.

Clients who have experienced the positive health and beauty benefits of Colon Hydrotherapy can now be offered treatments that can help them to look and ultimately feel as good on the outside as they do on the inside.

Clients are free to choose which products they feel would be best for them with expert advice on hand to help them realise the possibilities on offer using these treatments.

There is no obligation to take other treatments as all services offered by fresh as a daisy (inside and out) can be taken individually or as packages.
