Fillers

The use of Derma Fillers has changed lot since they were first introduced using a silicone based substance. The products used at fresh as a daisy (inside and out) are Restylane, Hydra Fill, Juvederm and Laresse.

The active ingredient in these fillers is Hyaluronic Acid which is present in most human tissue. It is injected into the skin and works by binding water molecules and hydrating the area treated making it appear plumper and reducing the depth of the line or wrinkle. It is a non-animal product.

The effects of Derma Fillers are immediate and very effective and can last for 8 - 12 months. They can improve the appearance of lines, folds and grooves in the face, the most popular area treated is the nasolabial lines (the line from nose to mouth) which can give amazing results instantly. The contours of the upper lip can be made more apparent and definition of the "cupid's bow" can be achieved successfully with additional fillers to augment the fullness of the lip if required. The corners of the mouth can be defined and droopy expression relieved.

A health questionnaire will have to taken with your therapist and the desired outcomes of the treatment will be discussed fully.

There can be some bruising and swelling at the site of treatment but this will normally resolve itself within a few days. Localised tenderness and itching has been reported. All post procedure care and indications will be discussed prior to any consent given.
